My name is Steve Last and I work as a therapist in Edinburgh. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help people who are experiencing emotional difficulties.
Problems such as depression and anxiety are extremely common in our society, but most people struggle on without seeking help. CBT is a straightforward and effective way of alleviating emotional problems, and I get great satisfaction from helping people make sense of their emotional problems and find ways of overcoming them.
I initially trained as a Medical Doctor (MB ChB) and then later specialised in Psychiatry. I have been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) since 2000.
